Montessori
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
— Nelson Mandela
The Montessori way of learning creates a calm and thoughtful space for children.
In this setting, everything is neat, simple, and inviting. Children are free to explore and learn at their own pace. Every object they touch has a purpose, helping them understand new ideas and the world around them.

At KLS International School, we follow the Montessori method of education for children aged 3 to 6 years. This approach encourages kids to learn through hands-on, multi-sensory activities that are fun, self-guided, and gently structured. Unlike traditional Kindergarten (KG), which is led by the teacher, Montessori is led by the child. We believe every child is unique and learns best at their own pace.
We have adopted the Montessori method across all levels of our pre-school, using a connected and step-by-step curriculum. This method gives each child the freedom to explore, discover, and grow—without pressure or fear. Learning becomes a joyful journey, not a race.
The Montessori approach was started by Dr. Maria Montessori, an Italian doctor and educator, in 1907. Her first school, “Children’s House” in Rome, changed the way the world saw early education. Her ideas focused on individual learning, gentle freedom, and joyful discovery, and they are still followed in Montessori schools around the world today.
At KLS International School in Attibele, we bring these values to life through a carefully designed environment. Our classrooms use multi-sensory materials that encourage children to see, touch, hear, and move—helping them build strong foundations for life.
We also help children build confidence and independence, so they are ready to face the world with courage. Through creative activities, real-life skills, and thoughtful guidance, we prepare our little learners to become tomorrow’s confident leaders and thinkers.
We invite you to begin this wonderful journey with us.

Environment
At KLS International School, we follow the Montessori method to give every child a joyful and meaningful learning experience. Our environment is carefully designed to support children’s natural curiosity and love for learning.
What Makes Our Montessori Unique:
Calm, Open Spaces: Children have plenty of room to move, explore, and work at their own pace in a peaceful, organized setting.
Thoughtfully Chosen Materials: Every object in the classroom is designed to help children think, learn, and grow through hands-on experiences.
Holistic Learning: Activities focus on building memory, listening, thinking skills, and even early digital awareness.
Mixed-Age Interactions: Children from different age groups learn together in special sessions, encouraging sharing, empathy, and confidence.
Balance of Freedom and Order: The environment is open and friendly but gently structured. This helps children feel safe and focused as they learn.
Engaging Curriculum: Our lessons are activity-based and full of variety, helping children enjoy every part of their day.
Joyful Daily Activities:
At Chitrakoota, learning is fun! Children dive into a world of joyful discovery through:
Singing rhymes and songs
Making music
Dancing
Art and creativity
Group games
Circle time
Simple exercises
Teachers gently observe and guide each child during these activities, helping them grow in their own unique way.
Celebrating Every Moment:
We celebrate all major festivals with joy and meaning. Each occasion becomes a learning opportunity with:
Colorful costumes
Fun conversations
Cultural performances like dance and drama
Knowledge-sharing about the significance of the day
Events like Independence Day, Teacher’s Day, and Children’s Day are filled with laughter, pride, and bright smiles—memories children carry for life.
In our Montessori classrooms, teachers are not just instructors—they are friendly guides and teammates. Children are given the freedom to make choices, try out ideas, and explore activities in their own way. This hands-on learning helps them understand how things work in real life.
As they work through different activities, children naturally learn to:
Take responsibility
Plan and organize
Think independently
Solve problems
Work well with others
This builds their confidence and helps them grow into strong, thoughtful, and responsible individuals.
Montessori vs. Traditional Kindergarten
What makes Montessori different from regular Kindergarten?
Specially Trained Teachers: Montessori teachers are trained to guide children without limiting their freedom. They know how to create a calm, engaging space where every child can explore safely.
Freedom with Structure: Children are free to choose their activities, but everything is thoughtfully prepared by the teacher to support learning.
No Rigid Timetables: Children are not rushed. They learn at their own pace, giving them time to truly understand each concept.
A Personal Approach to Learning
Each child at KLS School is seen as unique. We observe every child closely and give them individual attention. This personal care keeps them happy, confident, and eager to learn.
Children use worksheets that match their level, so they practice what they already know and build on it.
The focus is on the child, not the group, which means every child feels valued and understood.
Teachers balance excitement and control, making sure the classroom stays joyful yet focused.
